Jermaine Ballenger Sr., Senior Pastor

Pastor Jermaine Ballenger Sr. is a native of Duncan, South Carolina; who joined the United States Marine Corps in 1994.  He commenced his journey in gospel ministry in 1995. While stationed in North Carolina, Pastor Ballenger met his lovely wife, Sa’Kina E. Blount of Jacksonville; and joined her in holy matrimony on May 19, 1998.  Despite multiple transitions from military moves, they continued faithfully in ministry wherever they were assigned.

 

In 2008, Pastor Ballenger was ordained an elder in the Lord’s Church; and installed as a pastor while stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  Upon transitioning back to the United States, Pastor Ballenger and his family were an integral part of Family Worship Center of Yemassee, South Carolina until they birthed Agape Empowerment Ministries, Inc. in 2019.  Pastor Ballenger and his family now lives in his hometown of Duncan, South Carolina; and pastors in Chesnee, South Carolina.

 

Pastor Ballenger has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University, a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and a Doctorate in Theology from Grace Bible College and Seminary. 

 

Pastor Ballenger is a retired military officer of the United States Marine Corps and has over 20 years of honorable and faithful service. He is currently the Director of Transportation in Spartanburg County School District Three, South Carolina.    


He and Co-Pastor Sa’Kina Ballenger have two beautiful children: Jasiah (J-asia), and Jermaine Jr.
